Field Notes is an ongoing photographic record of the spaces, structures, systems, and atmospheres that shape everyday life.
Unlike commissioned project photography, the images gathered here are observational rather than comprehensive. They are made while moving through cities, suburbs, industrial areas, transport corridors, public spaces, edge conditions, and transitional environments across Australia.
Some pictures document moments of tension, isolation, repetition, maintenance, adaptation, or change within the built environment. Others simply record places that reveal something about how contemporary life is organised and experienced.
The photographs are published individually or in small evolving groups rather than as formal project features.
Together, they form an accumulating visual notebook of contemporary Australian conditions.
