Ply Architecture maximized the potential of a deep and narrow fronted, east-west cliff top site with extensive coastal views at Aldinga Beach in South Australia.

To capture views at the narrow end of the site from this new two-storey house, Ply Architecture introduced wide expanses of glass framed by structural elements open to the west.

Open corner glazing, cantilevering floors, narrow slit windows and screening devices were attentively placed to capture specific seascapes, aided by the placement of car parking at the rear of the site.

The use of robust form and materials provide a low maintenance and secure structure for the occupants to enjoy this enviable coastal lifestyle with the cantilevering upper floor providing shade to the lower openings in the extremities of summer.
