Designed by STUDIOMINT Design Group, the Bromley & Co. Gallery is set in a glass façade along Chapel Street, Melbourne.
It stands as the epitome of David Bromley’s monumental works – his exhibition and gallery.
In collaboration with Demroc Building Group and Lucienne Hemingway of Curious by Design, STUDIOMINT developed schematics which amplify the visual aesthetics and characteristics of the space with tactile surfaces renders, tiling, and concrete.
Interior details aimed to emphasise the Australian artist’s signature style – combining the endearingly figurative coloured portraits of nature, with rustic, timeless finishes that make the gallery akin to a walk through David Bromley’s mind.
The gallery was designed by the STUDIOMINT team to house aspects of bronze and resin throughout the walls – further complimenting Bromley’s sculptures.
The brass details magnify the glamour of the minor aspects of the space, paying homage to the real estate of the gallery and a visual remnant of Bromley’s unique creativity.
The project has now expanded to include a function centre and social spaces for like-minded creatives to engage.
