The Church Street Butcher has been re-designed by Ewert Leaf architects to create an entirely organic retail experience in the heart of Brighton, an affluent bayside suburb of Melbourne, Australia.
The new design, commissioned by Stephen Pocock from the Church Street Butcher, embraces the business’s commitment to sourcing quality, sustainable, organic produce for the local community.
The design intent was to create an inviting retail experience for customers and for the store to stand out on Brighton’s bustling main street.
Ewert Leaf’s fresh approach scrubs away the clinical tiles, cluttered displays, and harsh strip lighting that was there before.
This new design delivers a harmonious space that aligns the Church Street Butcher’s interior with its expanded retail offer and expert team.
Prior to the refurbishment, the Church Street Butcher’s offer had grown beyond its original set up as a local butcher to include deli products and fresh vegetables.
In its new format, the interiors and aesthetic match the retail offer in a space where product is seamlessly displayed in a browsing-friendly design and layout.
