Clear Mind Studio

Philip Stejskal Architecture was commissioned for this fitout project in Inglewood, an inner-city suburb of Perth, Western Australia.

Their clients were a couple with a vision to share their journey into meditation, mindfulness, and floatation therapy with others.

Philip Stejskal Architecture knew nothing about floatation before they began the project.

However, after a float or two, and immersion in the rather intense technicality of creating such a facility, they were excited to share in the joy of Clear Mind Studio opening its doors to the public in June 2019.

The project was designed to occupy a brick and tile shell from the early 1980’s complete with thick pile carpets and spa baths.

The building had strong bones that helped with acoustic separation of the float rooms and the re-purposing of the space into the place it is today.
