Lone Pine Hotel is a large entertainment venue in Western Sydney.
Fabric Architecture was engaged to transform the hotel utilizing the available footprint and tasked with designing an inviting space for both the existing patrons and to attract new clientele.
The hotel was renovated throughout with the brief calling for the incorporation of a pizzeria and beer garden with a large outdoor screen.
Fabric Architecture’s response to the brief included re-purposing the existing bottle shop to transform it into a Mediterranean-inspired Pizzeria, complete with polished plasters walls and built-in banquette seating.
The low-level roofs of the existing beer garden were demolished, making way for a new double-height operable roof to be constructed.
The new roof brought natural light deep into the beer garden and existing hotel and casts appealing shadows as the sun sets.
Material selections included walnut timber ceiling panels that helped create a warm, intimate and hidden oasis from the surrounding environment.
This texturally enriched space provides comfort within a conceptual framework of laid-back luxury where you can enjoy a beer in the afternoon or a whiskey at night within an unpretentious yet luxurious and sophisticated environment.
