The Rose Ward is a 28-bed acute extension to The Adelaide Clinic, a private mental health hospital in Gilberton, South Australia.
The two-level building, designed by award-winning architectural and design practice DesignInc, provides additional accommodation and access to the existing consulting suites, group therapy programs, lounge, and dining areas.
The architectural form provides patient privacy while maximising natural light and views of the adjacent Karrawirra Parri / River Torrens.
The palette of interior finishes; natural materials, patterning, and colour reflect the river aspect and bring warmth and comfort to occupants.
Undercroft parking creates ease of access with a sheltered entrance to the clinic.
The overall effect is an enhanced space of calm tranquility.
