The Austral Hotel is a historic old regional Victorian pub located in the Otway area of Colac.
Designed by Porter Architects, additions and alterations to the existing old local gem were completed in 2021.
The main southern section of the existing hotel where the bar and dining are located was revitalized into a comfortable contemporary food and beverage experience.
It captures and embraces the old pub with its existing textures of woods, bricks, and glass and adds to the experience by opening the pub to daylight/ improved circulation, new joinery, and textures.
